Honorary Dish of the Day: Maple & Banana Irish Oatmeal

Honorary Dish of the Day: Our honorary dish of the day is this healthy and simply delicious Maple & Banana Irish Oatmeal! Rich in fiber and host of numerous beneficial nutrients, oatmeal is makes for a perfect breakfast meal that will get you to start your day right and give you tons of energy to power through your daily activities. To make this dish, I boiled 2 cups of water and seasoned with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, a dash of salt, and about 1 teaspoon of honey. Once boiled, I poured in one cup of Irish style oatmeal, stirring vigorously to ensure the oats don't stick to the bottom of the pan. I then reduced the heat to medium-low and let the oatmeal simmer and cook slowly for about 15 minutes before turning off the heat and serving it into a bowl. No oatmeal is complete without some toppings, so I topped mine with a generous batch of banana slices, some pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, and a dollop of deliciously nutty cashew nut butter (a huge fan favorite!). There's so much room for creativity and imagination when it comes to toppings so don't hold back on trying new ingredients 😊. Give this a try sometime and let us know how it goes...Enjoy! 😋
